The pie I made last night was actually really good - I tell you, the recipe for crust was cool. Crisco rocks. You could make great hot pockets with this recipe. Crispy, crunchy, tender, flaky crust. Here's how:
Mix 2 cups of flour, a dash of salt (sift together; I just mixed 'em up). Take 3/4 cups of Crisco shortening in a bowl, and slowly add the flour and salt mixture. As you add the flour, take 2 butter knives, and slice them together (almost like scissors) to cut up the Crisco. Do the mixing this way, and when all's said and done, you'll have nice doughy stuff. Add 4 tablespoons of ice water, mix it up, and make into a ball.
Roll it up with anything, and cook it! Mmm mmm. I think I'm going to try my hand at a Hot Pocket right now.
