Good NY wines to buy

Equipment

Timeline

  • The wine should be purchased well in advanced, and should rest at beth's for 2 weeks!
    • Chill the white wine overnight
  • The cheese should be purchased the day before.
  • Make the hummus and tabbouleh the day before, in a big container. Bring the garnishes separately, to be plated that day.
  • The cheese can probably be cut up earlier in the day, then plated at Beth's.
  • The bread: Pita and baguettes should be made fresh the day of the wedding (ideally)

Keep in mind

  • "Just a taste" of cheese - they will have plenty of other delicious eats.
  • It will take a long time to prep all the cheese (cut up), so plan ahead, and start working on it early!
  • Don't forget: Wine, Cheese, Hummus, Taboulleh, breads, and other related items!
  • 60 People will be there

  • Silly fancy crackers, wheat thins, sliced baguettes
  • jg will provide chocolate covered strawberries, on separate plates from the cheese.
  • Toothpicks for plucking cheese
  • Cheese knives for cutting/spreading cheese
  • There will be 7 tables, with up to 65-70 people in all. (Depends on how many RSVP, of course).
  • 12 bottles of wine, they will pick 12 bully hill. I should pick 6 bottles of red, and 6 bottles of white LOCAL New York wine.
  • 12 disposable 9-11 inch bamboo plates will be provided to put the cheese on.
  • Beth will get bowls for the Hummus and Taboulleh.
