"During the period April 1 through November 30, no overnight camper in the Eastern High Peaks Zone shall fail to use bear-resistant canisters for the storage of all food, food containers, garbage, and toiletries."

Food

  • Saturday:
    • Breakfast: Oats & dried fruit (Only needed if we head up the night before)
    • Lunch: Sandwich from store (unless we arrive Saturday night, in which case we need a real lunch, perhaps a cooked lunch @ lean-to)
      • (PB&J if we head up the night before)
    • Dinner: (Campfire) - Couscous, black beans, flavoring (herbs, spices, bouillon, onion, etc.), perhaps oil, flour tortilla
  • Sunday:
    • Breakfast: Oats & dried fruit (then hike out)
    • Lunch at a restaurant, buy supplies
    • Dinner: Camping, no fires. Rice w/Mushroom soup
  • Monday:
    • Breakfast: Oats & dried fruit
    • Lunch: Tuna, mayo, seaweed
    • Dinner: On the town!
