  • Reproducing:
    • Basil:
      • basil in water: I was surprised at how easy it was. I've got some basil from a farmer's market, tossed it in water to keep it fresh and was surprised that it rooted within a week
      • Give them good size cuttings with a strong stem. It should have a couple of nodes on it.
    • Creeping Thyme:
      • It just creeps along, and grows roots along the way, making it easy to break a section off
      • Jake: Thyme rooted in water within a few days.
    • Oregano
      • Propagate oregano by stem cuttings or crown division. Space plants 10–12 inches apart. Plants respond well to clump division every 2–3 years. This helps restore vigor and improve flavor.
      • Jake: The Oregano rooted within a few days
    • Chives
      • Chive will reseed prolifically if allowed to go to seed.
