720, 720b: This is an old bug. The arcade machine synchronized the spinning of the stick to the spinning of the character, and MAME can't do this. | I ran into a 720º a few weeks ago at a bar and had a close look (well as close as you can look in a bar). It had "grooves" that sort of "persuaded" your movement towards whichever of the 8 ways it was closest to, which helped you play, for instance going up most sidewalks was a perfect diagonal. Here are pics that may or may not be useful (see left panel). Since lots of mice/mice drivers vary in movement speed, having an alternate joystick configuration would be nice, like supporting 8-way digital joysticks to spin somewhat quickly in the direction you move.
